October Kit Reveal - SADT Amy Perkins
Hi! Amy here... with my October Kit Reveal.
I am loving the cooler weather just as much as I love this kit! (... and that the pumpkin spiced latte has returned to Starbucks!)
Batman & Jessie:
I LOVE Halloween trick-or-treating just as much as my kids do!!! My son has been Batman for the last 3 year and just the other day he said to me... "I think I need a new costume this year!" I'm sure they will change their minds 10 times between now and then, but I can't wait to see them running from house to house... and I can't wait to steel a few butterfingers from their bags too! This layout is one of my go to layouts and can be completed in under 30 min.
'P' is for Pumpkin:
Family fun at our house is carving pumpkins! I was inspired again by a scrap piece of paper... this time it was the black chevron paper cut and spaced to create an arrow... which seems to be a trend in scrapbooking right now.
Pumpkin Carving:
After creating 3 layouts (I have saving one more to show you for later!!)... I still had plenty more from this kit to keep on creating! I did pull from my scrap-stash on this one (kraft cardstock, tickers, washi tape, and bling)... but I love knowing I am using product from my scrap-stash too! This is a really a simple and sweet layout, and a great way to use up scrap paper and extra embellishments.
Thanks for checking them out! ~Amy

hello! I'm sharing my projects for the lovely October kit, Season Premier!
fall fun
literally a fun page with a fun picture of my niece and nephews getting a little crazy with the leaf pile :) the leaves were cut with my silhouette (here is the cut I used). This was inspired by all the layouts I have seen lately with large photos :)
hi card
a pretty simple card with some messy stitching and more silhouette cuts (pumpkins here). I guess I was in a very fall mood this month, despite the temperatures here! I am ready for some real fall weather.
Thanks for stopping by!

Mandie's September Layouts
Hi, there! Mandie here with my projects for September. I totally love the pattern papers and colors in this month's kits. So adorable! I made 3 layouts & a little wall hanging (which I realized I forgot to photograph! Oops! Will need to go back and do that!) I found myself making layouts about school this month. I don't know if it is the back to school or the kit colors.
For this layout, I cut some flowers from the pattern paper and layered them together with tags - which are textured and thick and fabulous & the misting mask. (I am just not a mister. But, I love the pattern!)
(the thickers are from my stash.)
I layered some of the tags together. I wanted more of the pattern paper to show because I love the patterns so much!
I cut my title for this one before layering it on. I typed out my kiddos "stats" for 2nd grade on some cardstock and on one of the Basic Grey tags

Amy Perkins - September Kit Reveal
HI! Amy here with my September Kit reveals!
Mandie last month said something in her blog post that
got me thinking... "do I over-think, over-complicate, my layouts".. is
that why it takes me so long to complete just one layouts (2 hrs+ or
more sometime!). Answer: I think I do! So I put Mandie's words
to the test and really tried hard to keep things simple this month...
and WOW it worked... I was quite surprised with the results. I hope you enjoy too!
Let's Build Something Together - Sept Main Kit
It's not often that my Parent get to visit since they live on the East coast and us on the West. So, spending time together is cherished. I've been scrapbooking single layouts more often these days, but couldn't crop out (or down) these photos, so it was fun to create this double layout.
I created the sun by gluing snippets of ribbon onto a circle base and then used a second circle on top - kinda like a ribbon sandwich. The clouds are hand drawn and cut out... but several Cricut cartridges also have clouds too.
Wood veneer shapes are a hot trend right now... they are so fun (tweet tweet)!
Five Star Fun - September Add On Kit
What kid doesn't love a day at the water park? ... this was a five star fun day. Keeping with the idea of making the layout simple, this layout really is two photos cropped to fit 4x6 area and a second 4x6 photo on top of 3 strips of paper.
The layered triangles were inspired from scraps (from the pieces cut out from the two bottom strips of paper).. I used the mini Tim Holtz stapler to adhere the twine.. It's probably my most favorite new tool bought in the last year!
Untitled - September Add On Kit
So one of my biggest challenges when scrapbooking is not just jounaling (yes... you will often find that some (all) of my layouts have little to no jounaling... I'll explain in another post! ;-))... but choosing the right title. Randi is often my go-to gal, but this time I though I would ask you for some help. I've considered "sing out loud" or "I hope you dance"... any other ideas? Let me know by posting a comment right here on our blog or hop on over to our Facebook page.

Amy Perkins Reveal
Hi... Amy here with the latest reveals using the August Kits...
There is a produce stand not far from where we live, and during the fall months they create a huge straw pyramid with a pipe for this kids to slide down. My kids look forward to playing here every year! This layout was inspired by a scrap of paper (the arrow like paper at the bottom which was a scrap from the previous layout) and it all came together in less than 30 minutes (I know... FAST right?). I started to layer some of the already cut pieces of pattern paper, then two photos ... and just let myself have a bit of fun adding a bunch of embellishments.
I don't typically print pictures in B&W... and need to remember to do this more often, because I love the look! I took Mandie's trends class at the last crop (which was SO FUN!) and applied the technique she taught for making a chevron pattern to this layout. I loved that this August kit was so diverse that even the soft colors in the pattern paper and lace could create a baby layout too!
Add-On Kits: Rustic Country & More Stickers - Simple Stories
For this layout I combined the add-on kit and the more stickers - simple stores to create a sporty golf themed layout. I love the tiny type alphas that allow for longer and more descriptive titles.
August kit was so much fun to work with... I couldn't wait to use the fun colorful pattern paper, and the Basic Grey PB&J die-cut paper and canvas flowers were a big inspiration.
Main Kit: Country Picnic
I loved working with the chevron paper, and cut along the pattern to add more texture to this layout... using the chevron paper made me smile too! Tabs are making a come-back and so I cut one of the canvas flowers in half to make a unique scalloped tab.

Hi! Mandie here with my layouts from the August kit. I loved the colors and patterns in this month's kit. So preppy and cute! Go snag one before they sell out!
Most of my layouts are simple ones. This is no exception. I love being able to pull together a layout quickly. (Button is from my stash)
As soon as I saw the "Baby Bumble Bee" tag from the Basic Grey sheet, I KNEW I needed to use it for a layout about my little guy's first Halloween. The yellow dot paper was a perfect fit. (Brads are from my stash & the title was cut on my Silhouette Cameo)
These are some more old photos of my son (He's 8 now!) The colors and patterns just seemed summery. I still had not scrapbooked the photos. Looking at them makes my heart hurt just a little. Where did all the time go?!
Speaking of growing up... My girl! Yikes! She is getting big! I cut the scallops out with my Silhouette and then layered them.
I happen to LOVE this layout. The photo is from my sister's wedding. (Photo credit: Photos Edge Photography, Kansas City, MO) I love these Pebbles alpha stickers from the main kit. They are so cute, and I especially love the "the" sticker! Adorable!
I made a little shaker card with a glassine envelope (from last month's kit) and the sequins in this month's kit. I think it turned out so cute!
I used some left over paper to make this card. I just HAD to use the "Sweet stuff" sticker in some way. How flipping adorable is that?

Rachel Anderson August Layouts
hello everyone! hope you are having a great summer and hopefully staying cool ;)
I am sharing my layouts for the August kits, Country Picnic and Rustic Summer. My pages use items from both the main and add on kits this month. I used some older photos on both pages this month, because the colors in the kits just felt like they went with the pictures. I love when that happens. I don't scrap chronologically or in order, so its nice when a new product reminds me to use some older pics!
We Love This Town
I love the navy chevron basic grey paper! This is a photo of my husband and I from a few years ago (2007, to be precise). We had our engagement photos taken in old town Auburn, and this one is in front of the historic courthouse. Hence the title... we love Auburn. :) The buttons on the side are from my stash. The title was cut on my silhouette, from the backside of the navy chevron paper. The font is Bebas, and the "love" is a cut from the silhouette store.
Lovely
This is a picture of my niece, Peyton, as a flower girl (from my wedding). The basic grey die cut flowers in the kit were one of my favorite items, and there are a ton of flower shapes in the package --some nice bang for your scrapbooking buck! The sequins in the kit are such a fun item to use. I adhered them with a Martha Stewart glue pen, which is great for adhering little tiny things to your pages. (The stick pin in the bow was just a random one that was sitting on my desk, so its not from the kits).
Thanks for taking a peek!
