Mandie's September Layouts

Hi, there!  Mandie here with my projects for September.  I totally love the pattern papers and colors in this month's kits.  So adorable!  I made 3 layouts & a little wall hanging (which I realized I forgot to photograph! Oops!  Will need to go back and do that!) I found myself making layouts about school this month.  I don't know if it is the back to school or the kit colors.
For this layout, I cut some flowers from the pattern paper and layered them together with tags - which are textured and thick and fabulous & the misting mask. (I am just not a mister.  But, I love the pattern!)
(the thickers are from my stash.)
I layered some of the tags together.  I wanted more of the pattern paper to show because I love the patterns so much!

I cut my title for this one before layering it on.   I typed out my kiddos "stats" for 2nd grade on some cardstock and on one of the Basic Grey tags

Hi!  Mandie here with my layouts from the August kit.  I loved the colors and patterns in this month's kit.  So preppy and cute!  Go snag one before they sell out!
Most of my layouts are simple ones.  This is no exception.  I love being able to pull together a layout quickly. (Button is from my stash)

As soon as I saw the "Baby Bumble Bee" tag from the Basic Grey sheet, I KNEW I needed to use it for a layout about my little guy's first Halloween.  The yellow dot paper was a perfect fit.  (Brads are from my stash & the title was cut on my Silhouette Cameo)

These are some more old photos of my son (He's 8 now!)  The colors and patterns just seemed summery.  I still had not scrapbooked the photos.  Looking at them makes my heart hurt just a little.  Where did all the time go?!

Speaking of growing up... My girl!  Yikes!  She is getting big!  I cut the scallops out with my Silhouette and then layered them.

I happen to LOVE this layout.  The photo is from my sister's wedding.  (Photo credit: Photos Edge Photography, Kansas City, MO)  I love these Pebbles alpha stickers from the main kit.  They are so cute, and I especially love the "the" sticker!  Adorable!

I made a little shaker card with a glassine envelope (from last month's kit) and the sequins in this month's kit.  I think it turned out so cute!
I used some left over paper to make this card.  I just HAD to use the "Sweet stuff" sticker in some way.  How flipping adorable is that?

April Kit

Hi, All!  Mandie here with my layouts for April.  This month's design team kit is AWESOME.  It features fabulous new product from American Crafts & Amy Tangerine.  A little birdie told me Randi & Amy have a limited number of Design Team kits available for sale at the crop this month.  Head to the girls at the crop & don't get left out!  This line is so fun and bright.  It is perfect for spring or girlie layouts.  I have 2 layouts to share with you today & will have a project life post that also incorporates it next week.  I know the rest of the team will have more inspiration throughout the month.  It includes:

For my layouts, I wanted to use a lot of the patterns.  They are just so fun.  I think the best way to use a lot of pattern is to use small amounts.  For the first layout, I used my Silhouette die cut machine and the sketch pen to draw all of the frames.  I also cut out the same pattern on a piece of cardstock; so I could trace the shape to go inside the frames.  Then, I just added fun bits to each frame.  I love the way it turned out!

For this layout, I really wanted the colors of the layout to POP!  So, I mounted it on black cardstock.  I also kept the design super simple to allow this photo to shine.
I totally love these die cuts.  Such fun.  I love the watercolor look of them all!

one for one

hi, guys!  mandie here to share a layout using some of the brand new dear lizzy Neapolitan line.  it is super scrumptious.  the colors are awesome.  randi & amy have limited quantities of the kits that the design team used this month available at the crop!

i decided to go with a simple layout about my love of TOMS shoes.  i am a wee bit obsessed with these shoes & may or may not have more than what is in this layout.  (where is a blushing emoticon when you need it!?)
i used the "one" on the pattern paper & a "one" button to make the title.  i then stitched around it make it stand out a little more.  this is a super simple layout.  but, i like it.
