Labor Day Weekend - Day 2 Inspiration (Taraleigh)

It's day 2!...  and time to keep those trimmers going with inspiring layouts from Taraleigh!!

Grab those circle punches and create your own embellishment like Taraleigh did!  Just a few circles and some buttons make for budget friendly embellishments.  Journaling doesn't always have to be on a tag.  Taraleigh shows us how journaling around the pictures makes for a matting effect. 

And this is why we love double sided pattern paper! Taraleigh used both sides from 3 different pattern paper (Crate Paper) to create the block of pattern paper below her photos.  Using coordinating paper from one paper line, really takes out the 'work' of trying to find coordinating paper from your scrap-stash.  Taraleigh also shows in this layout that your photos don't always have to be centered to create a GREAT layout.  Try off setting them a bit from center and see how this style can 'work' too!

Taraleigh's Summer Sweeties

 There is no denying Taraleigh's life is simply adorable...with those cutie kids how could it not be? I know with two little ones her life is also hectic but I LOVE that she can appreciate and embrace the simplicity of life and scrappin' too!

This pre-stitched paper was super handy for this layout. Have picture..add embellishment and you have another AMAZING Taraleigh layout! Add this to the 30 minute power hour inspiration list. Even if you don't have the pre-stitched cardstock it can be done with a sewing machine, the sew easy for a hand-stitched look, or even with a pen..doodle it on!

Here Taraleigh used the $10 quarter rolls to pay homage to the year!

What is not to love about this sweet thing? And we love the layout too! I love the color choices red & brown with the natural corrugated button shapes!

The bold red patterned paper used as a strip down the side helps to balance the layout  against collage-style picture formation on the dark cardstock.








I must admit though one of my favorite elements is her journaling!

Taraleigh's June Layouts

Ok, so just when I think I have Taraleigh's style pegged she goes and WOW's me again! I LOVE her bold color combo on this layout! The grid-style arrangement of the photos is clean and draws your attention to each and every detail. I am truly impressed on her use of ribbon to draw out the grid lines.
This layout reminds me of a tic-tac-toe game....and clearly Taraleigh wins with this amazing creation!

Here is a closer look at how she wove the ribbon through the page...for all you scraplifters :)

For this next layout Taraleigh used the burlap to mat her photo AND to tie the little bows! She simply unraveled the burlap and tied one thread like twine! A perfect little accessory for the bright punched circles.  Do you have 30 minutes to try out this layout? I think this could easily make it in the 30 Minute Layout category (ok, aside from the journalling that would take me 2 hours) This layout is a perfect combo of bold patterned paper used in small quantities on a neutral background to showcase that special memory.
